Coupled with Extreme Programming (XP), pair programming is an Agile software development method where two developers collaborate on a single computer. To create, programme, and test user stories, the two persons collaborate. In a perfect world, both workers would be equally competent and spend an equal amount of time at the keyboard.

Two programmers collaborate at a single workstation using the development process known as pair programming. The term "driver" refers to the person who creates the code, and the term "navigator" refers to the person who reads and navigates each line of the code. They might regularly change roles. Pairing is another name for pair programming.
