An HTTP-header-based system called Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) enables a server to specify any origins (domain, scheme, or port) other than its own from which a browser should be able to load resources.

Cross-Origin Resource Sharing is referred to as CORS. It permits requests to be sent from one website to another in the browser, which is typically not allowed by a different browser policy known as the Same-Origin Policy (SOP)
